There are a number of technologies to deliver your guide to the end user. The choice or combination you choose to deploy is dependent on what suits your audience and the nature of the venue in which the event is held.

The AvantGo mobile internet service provides a way of delivering your guide in advance of the show. Your showguide becomes a "channel" made available, and promoted, to over 4 million handheld users of the AvantGo service. Your audience can be encouraged to sign-up to the free-of-charge service to download the guide.

At the event itself we can supply access points that will broadcast the guide to attendees using Bluetooth and InfraRed technology - all the user need do is switch on their smartphone or PDA, click "accept" and they then receive the guide as a download that automatically opens.
The access points are small, wall-mounted devices that require no network connection and are maintenance free. The guide can be uploaded with content in advance, or on location, or remotely through a GSM connection. Content on the access points can easily be updated with the latest news or changes to your event programme. Users can also send feedback you request - such as their contact details or completed questionairres.

Content can also be delivered in real-time to devices that are wireless enabled using 802.11b/g local wireless networks. This wireless technology has rapidly become a commonplace at most exhibition venues and stikibak is expert at creating content and applications optimised for delivery to 'small footprint' devices via these standards.

Stikibak can create content optimised for standard WAP browsers making the showguide accessible to most mobile phones over public cellphone networks.
